Our boats are special
Meeting the needs of people with a wide range of disabilities, our boats endeavour to make sailing accessible for everyone. We also regularly charter a wheelchair-friendly powerboat and 35 foot sailing catamaran to broaden the experiences we offer.
Iris
A Drascombe longboat, Iris is a roomy sailing boat capable of accommodating a large crew of up to seven people. As she doesn’t have a boom to bump heads, she provides a safer sailing experience, particularly for people with slower reflexes, impaired sight and limited mobility.
Lily
Lily is our second Drascombe Longboat. She was purchased in 2019, with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, Little Britain Challenge Cup and Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Foundation, as well as generous donations from several individuals.
La Lunga
Our third Drascombe Longboat, La Lunga, was acquired and fitted out in March 2023. Peter and Saskia Taylor from Binstead gifted their lovely sailing boat to us, so that she can be used to provide more sailing opportunities for people with disabilities living on the Isle of Wight.
Scarlett
A crucial part of our fleet, Scarlett is a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) that we depend upon to help ensure the safety of our crews and passengers. Built on the Isle of Wight, she was purchased in 2025 following a successful fundraising appeal.
