Sue Harold says:

Cowes Sailability Club has been a part of my life for the last 15 years.  I was one of a small group of people who founded the club in Fishbourne in 2002 with the aim of making sailing more accessible to people with disabilities and failing health.  I held the position of Commodore for a year and have benefited enormously from being a member of this friendly group.

I lost my eyesight at a very early age but have never let it hold me back.  I learned to sail before being registered blind and continue to gain enormous pleasure from being on the water thanks to Cowes Sailability Club.  My guide dog Ula always accompanies me on sailing and boating trips and joins me at the many social events organised by Cowes Sailability Club for members.

I just love sailing!  I get such a thrill from hoisting the sails and helming – even in the pouring rain!
